Elaine Paliatsas-Haughey

Elaine Paliatsas-Haughey. In loving memory of our Elaine who passed on to become an angel this October 24, 2023.  Elaine taught Elementary, Middle, and High School children for the better part of her life. She obtained her Masters in Writing at Rowan University. She was an author, memoirist, and editor. She was published in a variety of medium. She loved her family, the ocean, traveling, and her home away from home, Greece.  Elaine was especially proud that she was a wife to Michael Haughey and a mother to Zoe Haughey. She leaves behind her parents, Christena and Theodoros along with her siblings, Tommy, Selma, and Thothore as well as many other family members who all adore her eternally. Elaine was a fierce warrior who had an incredible sense of fashion and style, wonderful wit and sense of humor, and a very nuanced education. Additionally, she was empathetic and sympathetic towards people that she met which endeared her to countless friends. She was inclusive and welcoming to all. No words can encapsulate the beautiful soul that is now watching over us all or how deeply she shall be missed. We love you Elaine and as you so eloquently put it years ago, you will always be five. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her child Zoe Haughey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elaine’s funeral services at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106, on Sunday, October 29 from 7-9 pm.  Monday morning, October 30 there will be a visitation from 10 a.m.-12 noon at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12 noon.  Interment will take place at Locustwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
