OUR HISTORY

Wallace M. DuBois, the founder of the funeral home, was born on Nov. 25, 1881, graduated from the Renouard Training School For Embalmers on February 23, 1901, and was one of the first embalmers in New Jersey.

In 1904, Wallace opened his funeral business at 320 Market Street, Camden, N.J., which he later moved to 508 Broadway in Camden, and eventually opened the DuBois Funeral Home at 418 Chambers Ave., Camden, N.J. in 1925.

His son, William W. DuBois, joined the family funeral home in 1947 after his service in the USCG during World War Two. William opened a second location at 700 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ, in 1953 and managed both homes until selling the Camden location in 1959.

William's son, Wallace P. DuBois, was licensed in 1972 after graduating from Taylor University and the American Academy McCallister Institute of NY.

Through three generations, we have continued our tradition of serving families. Our family takes a great deal of pride in our service and in our ability to help families through difficult circumstances.

We treat each family that we serve as if they were our own family and provide a variety of services in our funeral home.

We help you plan funerals ahead of time, giving a great deal of attention to the particular requests of each individual. We conduct funerals when the need arises with respect and dignity. We provide cremation services, and we also provide shipping services. Every funeral we conduct is given our full attention to each and every detail.

We see each funeral as a celebration of a person's life and as a personal testimony of the individual who has passed on.
