James L. Barkman
James L. Barkman, age 66, of Pennsauken, NJ, passed away suddenly on the morning of June 23, 2020. He was born January 22, 1954 to Esther Barkman and James F. Lonabaugh. He was raised by James and Gladys Collins Lonabaugh. He was born in Philadelphia PA, raised in Cramer Hill, NJ and has been a Pennsauken resident for over 25 years.
James was an avid player of the lottery, and a huge fan of the New York Jets football team. He spent his weekdays working at a job he loved (21st Century Storage) and the weekend surrounded by his family, making memories with his grand children dancing, singing, and laughing to any music especially the ‘’oldies’’ songs. He is survived by his siblings; Edward Lonabaugh, Warren Lonabaugh, Sarah Lonabaugh, Thomas Collins, Frances Collins, sister in-law, Paulette Lonabaugh – wife of late brother George Lonabaugh, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of late Mary Walters (Lonabaugh) and Robert Lonabaugh.
He also leaves behind his beloved “wife”, girlfriend of 27 years Joan Ann Hazelton. James has 5 step children he loved and raised as his own; Stephanie Hazelton-Shepherd, Kristy Hazelton-Hemphills, Diana Hazelton, Steve Hazelton Jr., and Amanda Hazelton. Also survived by 16 grandchildren.
