Ethel C. Crozier

Ethel C. Crozier (nee Grauel), age 97, of Audubon, NJ, quietly passed away in her home on November 3, 2021.  Ethel was born August 27, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA.  She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Crozier.  She is survived by her son, Richard W. Crozier; daughter, Catherine A. Smith; and son-in-law, Eric G. Smith who also all reside in Audubon, NJ.

Ethel was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother.  Her hobbies were baking, sewing, painting and reading.  In later years when her eye site was no longer clear, she joined the Talking Book program (for the blind) through the State Library in Trenton.

Ethel had several jobs over the years but her favorites were, working at Horn & Hardart, after graduating from Simon Gratz High School in 1936, the Saturday Receptionist at Haddon Hill Apartments, and joining LARC School in Bellmawr, NJ at age 53, where she worked for 27 years as the much loved Lunch Lady before retiring at age 80.

Ethel was an exceptionally kind, considerate, and caring woman who was liked by all.  She will be sadly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 10, 2021 from 10-11:00 am at The DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Ethel’s name to the Talking Book for the Blind Program which supplied her with many hours of enjoyment over the past 10+ years.  The Talking Book & Braille Center, c/o The NJ State Library, 2300 Stuyvesant Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08618.
