Elaine L. Buck

On May 24, 2022, Elaine L. Buck (nee Linker), age 85 years, of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away.  She was the beloved wife of the late Frank W. Buck Sr.; devoted mother of Frank W. Buck Jr. (Patricia), of Haddon Heights, NJ, and Daniel C. Buck (Christine) of Fortescue, NJ; cherished grandmother of Cecelia Buck Donia, and Alex Buck; and loving great grandmother of Lena Donia.

Elaine was the daughter of Herbert and Marie Linker and was born in Oaklyn, NJ.  She attended Oaklyn Elementary School and graduated from Collingswood High School in the Class of 1954.

Elaine began her career at RCA Camden as a secretary, where she worked until 1961.  She took time off to have children and then worked as a secretary at Haddon Heights High school for a number of years.  In 1979, she became an executive secretary for the Lee W Himmelmann Insurance Co., Audubon, NJ 08106.  In 2000, she led travel and cruises for Lee’s new travel business until she retired in 2011.  She was a dependable secretary, that handled office work thoroughly and efficiently.  Elaine attended, Haddon Heights Baptist Church, 300 Station Avenue, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035, where she was a regular member, and active in the Adult Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 2, 2022 from 10:00-11:30 AM at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.  The interment will be held at Brigadier Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Chesterfield Wrightstown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the HHBC at the above address.  Condolences and memories may be shared at DuboisFuneralHome.
