Shirley A. Himmelmann
Shirley Ann Himmelmann, (nee Beeler), beloved wife, mother, and accomplished musician, of Audubon, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, just days shy of her 91st birthday.
Born on January 17, 1934, to her parents, William and Anna Beeler, Shirley lived a life rich in love and accomplishment. As a bright scholar, she graduated valedictorian from Lower Camden County Regional High School and then went on to Drexel University where she graduated Cum Laude in 1955. She was married to her devoted husband, Lee, for 68 wonderful years and together, they raised their son, Glenn, instilling in him the values of kindness, perseverance, and creativity that characterized her own life.
A gifted pianist, Shirley shared her passion for music at Haddon Heights Baptist Church, where she was the church accompanist for fifty years. Her intelligence and dedication to education shone through during her teaching career at Triton Regional High School, which she cherished until her retirement in 1964. In her leisure time, Shirley found joy tending to her garden, where she passionately cultivated beautiful flowers that brought color and life to her surroundings. Her legacy of love, music, and nurturing spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Shirley will be deeply missed, but her warmth and wisdom will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Lee Himmelmann. Devoted mother of Glenn Himmelmann. Predeceased by her loving parents; William and Anna Beeler. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, 7-9:00 p.m., at Christ Community Church, 325 East Linden Ave, Lindenwold, NJ,08021. A second viewing will take place on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed immediately by her funeral service. Interment will take place at Berlin Cemetery ,40 Clementon Rd, Berlin, NJ.
