Doris J. Murphy

Doris J. Murphy (nee Derr) on Jan. 5, 2025, age 94 years, of Haddon Twp., beloved wife of 60 years to the late Donald E. Murphy. Devoted mother of Stephen Murphy (Suanne) of Audubon, Scott Murphy (Karen) of Naperville, IL, and Linda Bier of Audubon. Loving grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 10. She was preceded in death by her loving son in law John Bier, grandson Michael Murphy, and great granddaughter Phoebe Bier.

Doris was a graduate of the Philadelphia Bible Institute (now Cairn University). She was an active and longtime member of Haddon Heights Baptist Church where she was dedicated to the children’s ministry serving for many years in the Primary Department, and as the director of Daily Vacation Bible School.

Visitation will be held Saturday January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Haddon Heights Baptist Church, 300 Station Ave, Haddon Hts., NJ 08035. The service will be held at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Doris’s memory to the Missionary Fund of the church at the above address.
