Robert G. Flaig


Robert G. Flaig of Audubon , New Jersey passed away peacefully at sunrise on the morning of Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. He was 83. 

Bob was born on September 17th, 1940 in Philadelphia to his parents Robert and Christine Flaig.  He graduated from Germantown High School in 1958, and went on to study briefly at Temple University.   In 1965, when he got married, he migrated to South Jersey and spent years working as an Electrical and Mechanical Buyer for Boeing, RCA, and General Electric. Bob was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, he loved cars (especially antique cars), and he enjoyed going fishing at various lakes and down the shore. He loved working on his cars and caring for his landscaping at home.  Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and Grandfather who loved his family unconditionally.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him . 

Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patrica; his loving daughter, Jessica L. wife of  Chris Boone of Deptford, NJ, his two grandchildren Kylie and Christopher, brother-in-law to Dottie Glorn, various nieces and nephews, and friend of many. Loving brother to the late Madeline (Flaig) Gottschling, wife of the late Fred Gottschling.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Calvary Chapel of South Jersey on Saturday July 27th, 2024. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 11:45am and the service will follow.  Lunch to immediately follow at Kunkel’s Seafood and Steak House 920 King’s Highway Haddon Heights, NJ 08035.
