Brandon N. Roderick

Brandon N. Roderick, aged 44, of Bellmawr, NJ, passed away on 2/6/2024, after a courageous 7-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his adoring wife, Tamara Leite, and his only child, Tayrinn (Ty) Roderick, who was his best friend, pride, and joy. He is the second son of Carla and Philip Roderick, Jr. He was the superhero sibling of 5 brothers: Jamiel, Scott, Kareem, Kyle, and Jarrod, and 2 sisters, Della and Teaonna. Forever speeding down highways to rescue them from life’s debacles. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Otis Scott, Roberta Hinton, Philip Roderick, Sr., and Theresa Roderick.

Brandon was born and raised in Providence, RI, where he attended Saint Raphael’s Academy and Hope High School. He saw his wife walking up the stairs, and the rest was history. Moving to Bellmawr, NJ in 2005, he raised his family and spent many Sundays joking with his father over the pain he had in his leg once.

Brandon enjoyed many things, including belting out musicals with his daughter, watching romantic comedies starring John Cusack, and sharing Dad Jokes with Della. His love for computers started at a young age as he was once inspired to “fix” his mother’s computer. Brandon was also an avid gamer and racer. You’d often find Brandon working on his Audi S5, joining car clubs for long drives, and watching soccer.

In the words of Brandon himself, “Well, your thoughts and prayers didn’t work,” reminding us all that humor is the ultimate turbo boost, but we hope he’s finally got that callback.
