Sheldon Newcomb

Sheldon Newcomb, age 89, of Marlton, NJ, went home to be with his LORD and Savior on December 22, 2023.  Sheldon passed quietly at his home with his wife and family surrounding him.

Sheldon was born in Oaklyn, NJ and was a long-time resident of Audubon, NJ and a member of Haddon Heights Baptist Church.  Sheldon had a faith and trust in Jesus the Christ, with his favorite verse found in John 3:16.

Sheldon loved to play golf, travel, visit with family, watch sports and western movies, and did we mention golf…  Sheldon enjoyed hunting in the “deer woods†of NJ and up in northern Maine.  A wonderful storyteller, he would regale us time and again about his various hunting adventures and misadventures.  Sheldon loved to spot deer while riding along the road.

Sheldon was preceded in death by three sons, Gary, Wayne, and David.  Sheldon is survived by his loving wife, Marie, with whom he just celebrated 70 years of marriage this past August; daughters, Linda Borovkoff (Victor), Dawn Carr (Joseph), Terri Boyd (William); son Mark (Christine); and two daughter-in-law’s Terry (Wayne) and Lisa (David).  Sheldon and Marie were blessed to have 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A quiet, but joyous celebration of Sheldon’s life will be held with family at his daughter’s home in Lancaster, PA.
