Edwin Yoder

Edwin A. Yoder, “Edâ€, aged 97, of Audubon, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday May 8, 2023.

He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.  He loved to be around his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ed had a strong belief in his faith and was a member of the Haddon Heights Baptist Church.  He served proudly as a paratrooper in the United States Army during World War II, in the Philippines and Japan (Hiroshima).  After the War he earned his Bachelor degree in Engineering from John Brown University, and served as a Christian Missionary in Guatemala for 12 years.  He taught Math at Haddon Heights Christian School (formally Baptist High school) for over twenty years.  Throughout his life he served the Lord with all his heart.

He was the beloved husband to the late June Yoder (nee Smith); loving father of W. Allen Yoder (Kimberly) and Rebecca A. Colby (Robert); caring Grandfather to Renee Skibuski, Peter Yoder (Faith), Regina Bell (Brandon), Jonathan Yoder, Nicholas Yoder, Danielle Weir (Nate), Debrah Yoder, Stephanie Maines (Aaron), Robert Colby (Catherine), and Kathryn Krube (Dave); and cherished Great Grandfather to twenty-one Great Grandchildren.  Ed is also survived by his sister, Sally Miller.  He is predeceased by his son, Tim, and his daughter, Ruthie.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
