Peter J. Homon, Sr.

On March 29, 2023, Peter J. Homon Sr., age 91, of Oaklyn, NJ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior.  He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn A. Homon; cherished father of Peter Homon Jr. (Jane), Cheryl Denish (Marc), and Drew Homon (Kimberly); loving grandfather of Ryan Denish, Drew Homon Jr., and Samantha Homon; and beloved uncle to Linda Homon-Podwirny.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He owned his own business, John J. Homon and Sons, which was started in 1938 by his father.  Peter worked along side his brother and later with his son.  He enjoyed time with his family at the beach in LBI.  He was still wave-running into his eighties.  He was an avid car enthusiast owning a variety of antique cars and trucks over the years.  One of his favorite verses and one he lived by is Psalm 91:16 “With long life I will satisfy Him and show him my salvation.â€

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 1, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 520 Kings Highway South Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.   The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church.  Interment will be at Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Keswick’s The Colony of Mercy, 601 County Road 530, Suite A, Whiting, NJ 08759.  Funeral arrangements under the direction of DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.  Condolences and memories may be shared at DuboisFuneralHome.
