Diane Loretta McCabe

Diane McCabe (nee Jakucki) passed away peacefully at the age of 81. Diane was born and raised in Camden ,New Jersey.  She graduated from Camden High School and studied to be an x-ray technician, working many years for Dr. Harry Greenetz.  She later worked for the Borough of Magnolia where she became the Municipal Clerk and worked until her retirement shortly after the birth of her first grandchild.  She was a mother to Colleen and a second mother to Colleen’s Sterling friends including the one with the hair, the one by the tracks, and the other blond.  She especially was a loving grandmother (MomMom) with cookies, treats, and toys for her four grandchildren, Liam, Connor, Kyra, and Ethan.

She is survived by her brother Joseph (Barb) Jakucki; her husband, Edward; her daughter, Colleen (Michael) Reilly; and her four grandchildren.  Diane was always clearly the true matriarch of the family.  She will be missed by all who knew her for her wit, laughter, occasional dirty jokes, and of course her famous Christmas cookies.

Visitation is 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Friday December 30, 2022 at the Dubois funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.  Her memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org/?form=Donate.  Funeral arrangements under the direction of DuBois Funeral Home.  Condolences and memories may be shared at DuboisFuneralHome.
