Richard A. Hill Sr.

Richard “Rich†A. Hill Sr. of Haddon Heights, NJ, died in his home on July 30, 2022.  Rich was born in Philadelphia, PA but moved to Haddon Heights, NJ when he was young.  He was a 1962 graduate of Haddon Heights High School.  Shortly after high school he entered the army in the 196th Light Infantry Brigade and was a Vietnam Veteran.  He was proud of his service to his country and shared stories with his children of his time in Vietnam.  Rich worked for many years, but prior to his retirement, he worked at Sony Music as a Security Guard where he met many friends.  He really enjoyed watching the Phillies and was a season ticket holder for many years.

Rich is survived by his three children and their spouses, Laura Wade and her husband, Warren “Matt†of Fitchburg, MA, Richard (Rick) Hill Jr. and his wife, Sandy of Lunenburg, MA, and Rebecca Grider and her husband, Mark of Charleston, SC.  He also loved his 9 grandchildren, whom he cherished greatly!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Florence “Thelma†(Jones) Hill, who he cared for until their passing.

His children would like to take a moment to thank those that offered support, kindness, and generosity to their father over the years.  He was so fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors surrounding him.  A warm thank you to Bruce and Elizabeth Gunther and Maureen Sheldon, for all that you are and all that you gave.  It is greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.  The funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM.  A private burial will be at a future date.  Condolences and memories may be shared at DuboisFuneralHome.
