Thelma A. Banner

On November 2, 2021, Thelma A. Banner (nee Bates), age 98 years, of Glendora, NJ, peacefully passed away.  She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Banner, formerly of Barrington, NJ; devoted mother of Sheldon Banner (Linda); cherished grandmother to 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and devoted Aunt of 1 niece.  Thelma was also survived by many cousins.  She is predeceased by her two sons, Lee and Terry Banner and her daughter, Barbara Andrescavage.  She was also predeceased by her brother, Commander Retired, Sheldon Bates.

Thelma was a loving and caring woman.  She attended Philadelphia school of the deaf.  She then worked for ISI for 20 years at 30th & Market St., Philadelphia, PA.  Thelma also worked for Edmund Scientific, East Gloucester Pike, Barrington, NJ, for over 15 years. She also volunteered her time at the West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, NJ for 25 years.  She loved the Lord Jesus and was involved in various bible studies.  Thelma loved Ocean City, NJ and the time spent with her family and friends.  She met many friends at the Franklin Square Village and enjoyed the activities they shared together.

The Interment will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deaf Missions, 21199 Greenview Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.  Funeral arrangements under the direction of DuBois Funeral Home, 700 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.  Condolences and memories may be shared at DuboisFuneralHome
