Betty M. Serabo

On February 25, 2021, Betty M. Serabo (nee Ireland), age 88 years, of Gibbstown, NJ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Left to treasure her memory are husband of 57 years, Joseph Serabo; Children, Lawrence Serabo (Margie) of Woodstown, NJ, Daniel Serabo (Nancy) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Brenda Allgood (Edward) of West Deptford, NJ, Gregory Serabo of Elkton, MD, and Nancy Hill (Matthew) of Daniels, WV. She had 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, who brought her much joy.

She was a nurse, avid gardener, cake decorator, knitter, but most importantly a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a member at Mt. Ephraim Baptist church where she served as a deaconess and spent many hours teaching children. Betty was also always available to volunteer for making meals at the church and was famous for her pickle soup.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 6, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Mount Ephraim Baptist Church, 25 South Black Horse Pike, Mount Ephraim, NJ 08059. Betty’s memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the church at the above address.
