John T. Flynn

Age 87 of Stone Harbor, NJ, formerly of Woodbury, NJ, passed away on April 12, 2018 surrounded by his children. Raised in Philadelphia, PA, he served in the Korean War for the 82nd Airborne. He attended his beloved Penn State University and remained a devoted fan. He was also loyal and knowledgeable about Philadelphia sports. After spending many summers with family at the Jersey shore, it became his permanent home, where he longed to be. Sadly preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Dorothy (nee Johnson), his son, Greg and daughter-in-law, Taff Hoff Flynn. Beloved father of John T. (Kathe) Flynn Jr, Kathleen O’Driscoll and Andrew Flynn. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jennifer Mitchell, Laura (Kevin) Nicholls, Kelly (Corey) Hindmarch, Reilly A. Flynn and Anna Flynn. Also Pop Pop to his 6 great-grandchildren Madison, Colin, Caitlin, Emily, Jack and William.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 2nd, 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church 9910 Third Ave. Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 followed by a funeral mass at 11:00.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory for restoration of the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary would be appreciated.
